This is the plain-English version of how Cuthbeat handles your information. It covers what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to make us delete it.

What we collect

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information. Please do not send us medical details, identity documents, or photos you would not want stored.
Who we share it with
- Shopify — hosts the store and processes orders and payments.
- Payment processors (PayPal and similar) — to take payment and handle refunds and chargebacks.
- Shipping carriers and our warehouse — name, address and phone, so the parcel can be delivered. Packing slips carry your order number only, never the product name or size.
- Email and support tools — to send order notifications and answer you.
- Professional advisers and authorities — only where the law requires it, or to defend a legal claim.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not rent or trade our customer list.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep your cart and your session working — the store cannot function without them. Analytics cookies tell us which pages people actually read. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential ones being blocked will break checkout.
If we later run advertising or remarketing tools, this notice will be updated first and you will be able to opt out by emailing us.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop sending you marketing email — every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects order notifications.
Email hello@cuthbeat.com with the subject "Privacy request". We reply within 30 days and we will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents: you have the rights above under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of any advertising-related sharing, email us and we will action it.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records — kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically 7 years.
- Support emails — up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Marketing list — until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.
Where your data is processed
Cuthbeat operates from China and sells into the United States. Your information is processed by Shopify and our other providers in the United States and elsewhere, and by us in China. Wherever it is processed, we require the same standard of protection.
Security
Traffic to this store is encrypted. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to ship and support your order, and is protected by two-factor authentication. If a breach ever affects your information, we will contact you directly.
Children
This store is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, email customers with an active order or subscription. Questions, requests and complaints all go to hello@cuthbeat.com.
